Service Stream celebrates one year of partnership with Urban Utilities
The Service Stream MECS team recently gathered in Brisbane to celebrate the first anniversary of the Mechanical, Electrical and Control Systems (MECS) contract with our client, Urban Utilities.
The milestone marks one year since Service Stream commenced its long-term partnership with Urban Utilities, delivering essential mechanical, electrical and control systems maintenance services that support water and wastewater infrastructure for more than 1.6 million customers across South East Queensland.
The anniversary event provided an opportunity for the team to reflect on the achievements, challenges and successes of the past 12 months, while maintaining a strong focus on the future.
Team members participated in toolbox talks, roadshows, quizzes and discussions reviewing the contract's inaugural year and the opportunities that lie ahead. The day also provided a valuable opportunity for employees from across the contract to strengthen connections and celebrate what has been achieved together.
Several team members were recognised for their outstanding contributions throughout the year, with special congratulations to award recipients Jack Litzow and Luke Hable.
A highlight of the event was a presentation from guest speaker Dallas Adams, whose deeply personal story encouraged attendees to think differently about why safety matters. His passionate, honest and moving message left a lasting impression on the audience and reinforced the importance of keeping safety at the centre of everything we do.
Reflecting on the milestone, the anniversary served as a reminder of how far the team has come since mobilising the contract and beginning work in partnership with Urban Utilities. It also reinforced the strong culture, teamwork and commitment to safe outcomes that continue to drive success across the contract.
Congratulations to everyone involved in the first year of the MECS contract. We look forward to building on this strong foundation and continuing to deliver value for Urban Utilities and the communities of South East Queensland for years to come.
