Leigh Mackender joined Service Stream when it acquired the AMRS (now Energy and Water) in February 2008.
Prior to being appointed Managing Director, Leigh was responsible for overseeing the Energy and Water business’ national operations which includes metering, asset inspection and in-home services divisions operating across the electricity, gas and water markets.
Leigh has over 15 years of extensive experience working within the industrial services sector and held various roles in private and public businesses specialising in the development and implementation of business strategy, operational management, financial analysis, business development and commercial negotiations.
Leigh is a member of the Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability Committee.
Leigh has no other listed company directorships and has held no other listed company directorships in the last three years.
Chris Chapman
Chris Chapman
Chris was appointed General Counsel for the Service Stream Group in August 2015. Chris has significant in-house experience having held senior legal positions at some of Australia’s largest construction and transportation companies, and leading international law firms.
Chris has extensive experience in providing legal advice on a broad range of contract, dispute and regulatory matters across a number of jurisdictions.
Linda Kow
Linda Kow
Linda joined Service Stream in May 2020, and has over 20 years of financial management experience across a diverse range of industries and multinational operations.
She has played a major role in helping businesses transition from private to public ownership, overseeing financial and capital management, business strategy and M&A, shared services and IT.
Linda is a Chartered Accountant, Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has a Bachelor of Commerce from Melbourne University.
Bruce Wakeford

Bruce has been Executive General Manager – Commercial for the Service Stream Group since August 2014. Prior to that he was General Manager – Finance and Commercial for the Energy and Water Division, having joined Service Stream in 2011. Bruce has significant experience across a range of diversified industries, with a very strong background in finance and commercial leadership roles.
Bruce holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting), Master of Business Administration (MBA), is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants (FCPA), and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).

Sarah is a seasoned senior people & culture leader, with over 15 years experience working in ASX listed organisations predominantly in Energy, Utilities & Aviation.
Sarah’s areas of expertise include, People & Culture Operations, Strategic Business Partnering, Organisational Transformation, and Organisational Learning & Development.
With a passion for making positive changes in organisational culture, developing and coaching motivated senior leaders & staff, enhancing professionalism, and leading People & Culture operations initiatives to increase organisational effectiveness.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of business majoring in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology.

As Chief Information Officer, Douglas Young is responsible for leading the Group Information Services Team.
Douglas has significant knowledge of Telecommunications, Logistics and Infrastructure domains having held senior leadership roles at some of Australia’s leading public and private organisations.
His past experience has focused largely on driving technology operational uplifts and transformation agendas within organisations undergoing significant growth or change.
Anton Pirie
Anton Pirie
Anton has over 20 years’ experience in sales, marketing, account management and commercial roles across a variety of sectors including telecommunications, energy, water and gas utilities, telecommunication manufacturing and transport.
Originally from New Zealand, Anton also spent six years in the United Kingdom servicing clients in the telecommunications sector.
In 2000, Anton arrived in Australia and began working in the Emerging Carrier sector looking after the wide variety of clients across a number of divergent industries.
He joined Service Stream in 2008, as General Manager – Carrier Networks, overseeing the growth of Service Stream’s Fixed Communications division.
Charlie Reilly

Charlie is a Chartered Professional Engineer and Business Leader with over 25 years’ experience in strategic asset and facilities planning, property management, operations and maintenance and project management across a variety of industry sectors. These include Defence, Health, Justice, Education, Rail and Resources, Commercial, Retail and Sporting/ Entertainment.
He has held senior executive positions in Tier-1 contracting, consultancy and client organisations in Australia including Commonwealth Government and has worked in numerous countries during his career.
Charlie has a particular interest in leadership and people development and is an active mentor of ‘up and coming’ talent.
As Executive General Manager – Defence and Social Infrastructure, Charlie will lead the team to secure, mobilise and deliver new growth opportunities identified across targeted markets and assist Service Stream in realising our vision of being ‘Australia’s leading essential network service provider’.
Kevin Smith
Kevin Smith
Kevin is a management professional with 20 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry supporting Australia’s main telecommunication carriers.
He has a proven track record for high performance delivery, motivating teams on large scale and complex projects to consistently exceed targets both internal and external.
Kevin has worked with Service Stream for over 20 years, where he started out as State Manager in Victoria in 1997.
He is also currently a Board Member of the Eastern Football Netball League in Melbourne, Victoria.
David Zropf

David Zropf joined Service Stream in April 2022. David has extensive experience across the infrastructure market, with a strong focus on safety, customer delivery, business development and strategic growth.
With deep experience in operations and maintenance, shutdown, minor capital works and facilities management across the oil and gas, utilities, mining, transport and defence sectors, David leads our Utilities business to support ongoing service delivery excellence, drive the highest levels of safety performance and build a pathway that enables our Water, Power and Industrial divisions to continue growing.
Johan van Dyk

A qualified civil engineer and highly-regarded leader, Johan has over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, managing projects and businesses in Australia and South Africa.
Johan leads Service Stream’s Transport business, focused on drive positive change and strategic development, implementing innovation and improvement programs, and championing diversity across the business.
