Veterans Employment Commitment
We have joined the Veteran Employment Commitment and been recognised as a Veteran Friendly Employer.
As a signatory of the Veterans’ Employment Commitment, Service Stream has taken the following steps to address our commitment:
- Recognising and communicating the skills and values Veterans bring to our organisation. We are embedding this value within our policies and procedures and continuing to cultivate our partnership with Veterans organisations such as Working Spirit and RSL
- Supporting the employment and career opportunities of Veterans by streamlining our recruitment processes to ensure ease in search, application, and interview process. We further regularly seek surveyed feedback regarding mechanisms of continuous improvement
- We are actively seeking to understand how Veterans' skills and experiences can translate into valuable contributions at Service Stream. By collaborating with our team, we aim to identify and leverage these transferable skills. Our future goal is to develop a comprehensive skills matrix that highlights how these capabilities can enhance our business operations
- Within our subcontractor engagement process, we are actively asking subcontractors for information pertaining to Veteran employment activities and numbers.
Partnering with Working Spirit
Service Stream’s partnership with Working Spirit, focuses on joint efforts for better employment opportunities and outcomes for Veterans, Veteran’s families, and emergency services Veterans. Partnering with Working Spirit provides us access to exceptional talent among the Veteran community and enables Service Stream to help Veterans find meaningful employment and support their transition into the civilian world.
