Service Stream strengthens veteran support through partnership with Soldier On
Service Stream recently partnered with Soldier On to host a community lunch in Darwin, bringing together veterans, Defence families and community members for an afternoon of connection, learning and recognition.
The event featured an insightful presentation by Lieutenant Colonel Peter Zimmermann on military medicine and wellbeing, along with a special presentation of an Aussie Hero Quilt to Major (Retd) Erica van Ash from the Royal Australian Army Nursing Corps by Luke Gosling OAM MP.
The lunch formed part of Service Stream's ongoing commitment to supporting veterans and their families, both within our workforce and in the communities where we operate.
James Smith, Senior Manager Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, said the event highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for veterans to connect and engage with their communities.
"At Service Stream, we are honoured to partner with Soldier On and support programs that create opportunities for veterans and their families to connect, engage and thrive,” said James.
"We are proud to support events like this, helping to keep communities connected across our national footprint."
Service Stream is proud to employ veterans across the business, recognising the leadership, resilience and experience they bring to our workforce. As a signatory to the Veteran Employment Commitment, we remain focused on creating pathways for veterans transitioning into civilian careers.
We thank everyone who attended the Darwin event and contributed to its success and look forward to continuing our support for the veteran community through our partnership with Soldier On. Our next community lunch with Soldier On will take place in Adelaide on Saturday, 4 July 2026.
