What is the Victorian Road Maintenance Contract?

Service Stream has been awarded the Metropolitan Victorian Road Maintenance Contract (VRMC) - South Central Region by the Victorian Department of Transport and Planning (DTP).

Our scope of works covers inspections and routine maintenance, emergency response, hazard and defect rectification, planned works, data collection and management, and program management services for more than 4,000 lane kilometres of state roads, and 1,000 associated structures such as bridges, major culverts, major sign structures, noise barriers and retaining walls.

Which roads are part of the South-Central Metropolitan Region?

The South-Central Region is bordered in the north by the Eastern Freeway and stretches all the way down to Portsea at the far end of the Mornington Peninsula and east to Dandenong, and the Western Port Highway. The VRMC covers all state roads in the Region, including the Monash Freeway and major arterial roads such as the Princes and Nepean Highways.
