VRMC South Central contract awarded to Service Stream
Service Stream has been awarded the Metropolitan Victorian Road Maintenance Contract (VRMC) - South Central Region by the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) Victoria.
The contract will commence 1 July 2024 under an initial four-year contract term with two 2-year extension options.
Under the contract, Service Stream will provide road maintenance and associated roadside infrastructure maintenance across the South Central metropolitan region - maintaining the State's roads in the following municipalities:
- Bayside,
- Boroondara,
- Frankston,
- Glen Eira,
- Greater Dandenong,
- Kingston,
- Monash,
- Mornington Peninsula,
- Stonnington, and
- Whitehorse.
The maintenance area includes 4,213 lane kilometres and 1,034 associated structures such as bridges, major culverts, major sign structures, noise barriers and retaining walls.
Our scope of works include:
- Data and Systems,
- Routine Maintenance,
- Planned Maintenance,
- Program Management Services,
- Term Routine Maintenance Services, and
- Competitive Works.

The Metropolitan VRMC is the next step for the Victorian Government and DTP in their transformation plan to achieve a consistent statewide performance-based approach to road maintenance across the state of Victoria.
