Service Stream proudly donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the Mirboo North Community Response Team following the sudden and devastating storm that hit Victoria in February.

Mirboo North, a small town in the Gippsland region, was the hardest hit area by the destructive storm on 13 February this year. Many homes, community properties and businesses were damaged in the storm.

With so many people in need, local community members created a volunteer Community Response Team, setting up their command centre at the Mirboo North RSL to coordinate and respond to hundreds of calls for help throughout the community.

In support of the impressive work of the Community Response Team and the wider local Mirboo North community, Service Stream donated hard hats, heavy duty gloves and safety glasses to aid in their clean-up efforts and help keep them safe while out in the field responding to calls.

“It’s times like these that demonstrate the true extent of community spirit and how important it is to help those around us. The volunteers who set up and ran the Community Response Team epitomize that community spirit and we were honoured and humbled to provide them with some basic PPE to keep them safe while out helping others,” says Glenn Stiles, Service Delivery Manager, Operations and Maintenance team Loy Yang Power Station A.
