Service Stream supports Echuca Neighbourhood House with community donation
Service Stream is proud to support the communities in which we live and work. We recently donated $40,785.42 to Echuca Neighbourhood House (ENH) to help strengthen the vital services it provides across Echuca and surrounding communities.
The donation forms part of Service Stream's ongoing commitment to supporting local communities and creating positive social outcomes in the communities where we work.
Utilities Division Executive Director, David Zropf, presented the donation to Echuca Neighbourhood House and acknowledged the significant role the organisation plays in supporting local residents, particularly in the years following the 2022 flood events that impacted the region.
"Echuca Neighbourhood House provides essential support services to people across the region, and we are pleased to contribute to the important work they do every day," said David.
Accepting the donation on behalf of ENH, Manager Sarah Peake said the funding would support the organisation's Food Bank program, which has experienced a substantial increase in demand in recent years.
"We have seen a tenfold increase in the number of people accessing support through our Food Bank program," said Sarah. "This contribution will help us continue meeting the growing needs of our community."
The donation will also assist with the operation of an ENH community bus, enabling travel to local communities to distribute food and essential supplies to those in need.
In addition to delivering practical support, the outreach service helps connect residents with information about local services and support programs available through councils and community organisations, ensuring people can access the assistance they need close to home.
Service Stream thanks the ENH team for their ongoing dedication to supporting the Echuca community. We’re proud to partner with organisations like ENH, that make a meaningful and lasting difference to their local communities.
