Giving back to our local communities
8 January 2026
Giving back to the communities where we live and work is an important part of who we are at Service Stream.
In December, seven members of our Loy Yang team volunteered their time at Foodbank Victoria’s Community Food Centre in Morwell, helping to prepare and serve a three-course meal for local community members doing it tough.
Around 60 people came through the Foodbank, sharing a warm meal, good conversation and a little Christmas cheer. It was a simple but powerful reminder of the difference time, care and teamwork can make.
“Volunteering for Foodbank was an eye-opening experience. There are a lot of families that are doing it tough here in the Latrobe Valley and surrounds. It’s a huge step to ask for help when you are in need. Foodbank Morwell provides outstanding support to people in need while preserving their dignity,” says Service Stream volunteer Rosa Payne.
A heartfelt thank you to our Loy Yang volunteers and to the incredible team at the Morwell Community Foodbank for the work they do every day to support the local community.
