About the Role
Liaising closely with the Area Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
Supervising various sized teams and mechanical equipment and maintaining team discipline
Induction training and development of personnel including appraisals of Team Members
Training Team Members in safety, work practices and job procedures
Dealing with field and administrative problems while negotiating solutions
Planning and organising the work of teams under their control including scheduling
Utilising various mains and services work requirements
Ensuring that the Service Stream administrative and policy aspects are carried out within various legislative requirements
Assisting in the development and training of all relevant work improvements
Contributing broadly & positively across a range of quality & improvement measures within the team
About you
Ideally 5+ years previous experience handling duties associated with being a Team Member
Proven experience in controlling other Team Members and mechanical equipment
Completion of a Mains and Services Certificate 3 or equivalent (desirable)
Certificate IV Frontline management (preferred)
Ability to plan, organise and control a small workforce and machinery to ensure quality + output of work
Competence to motivate workers and maintain a high standard of discipline
Excellent communication skills and the ability to promote good public relations
Proactive approach to developing a safe working environment (for crew members & the public)
Willingness to participate in after hour’s duty rosters and emergency call-outs
Strong ability to read and interpret drawings
High School level to year 11 (English and Maths) or the equivalent (highly desireable)
Valid Driver's license
