About the Role
Service Stream’s Utilities division is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Works Coordinator to play a pivotal role in the planning and scheduling of maintenance works across Urban Utilities assets.
This role is at the heart of operational success, ensuring all planned maintenance activities are effectively prioritised, scheduled, and resourced, while meeting performance, safety, and compliance targets under the Mechanical, Electrical and Control Systems (MECS) Agreement.
You’ll be the key link between planning and execution, working closely with supervisors and operations teams to turn maintenance plans into efficient, well-coordinated field delivery.

Key Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Works Coordinator, you will take ownership of planning and scheduling workflows, ensuring maintenance activities are delivered efficiently and without disruption:
- Lead the end-to-end planning, scheduling, and dispatching of Preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
- Work closely with Maintenance Supervisors to prioritise work orders, optimise resource allocation, and maintain schedule adherence.
- Develop and maintain forward-looking maintenance plans, ensuring workloads are balanced and deadlines are consistently met.
- Coordinate weekly activity plans with onsite teams to ensure high productivity without compromising safety or quality.
- Facilitate and actively contribute to onsite planning and scheduling meetings, driving alignment across stakeholders.
- Monitor job progress in the field, ensuring tasks are completed on time and in line with work order requirements.
- Oversee subcontractor scheduling and performance, ensuring timely delivery and complete documentation.
- Liaise with operations teams to secure asset access and coordinate work windows, minimising operational disruptions.
- Ensure all maintenance tasks are tracked, communicated, and executed efficiently through systems such as Click and Ellipse.
About You
You’re a natural planner who thrives in fast-paced environments, with a passion for keeping work organised, on track, and running efficiently:
- Proven experience in planning, scheduling, or coordination roles (2+ years) or 5+ years in related maintenance/operations roles
- Strong experience with job scheduling systems (e.g. Click or similar)
- Familiarity with asset management systems (e.g. Ellipse or similar)
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and optimise schedules under pressure
- A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement, efficiency, and collaboration
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across teams and stakeholders
