About the Role
Service Stream’s Utilities division are currently seeking 4 Supervisors (Water) and 2x Supervisors (Sewer) to join our growing company. Our Field Supervisors are responsible for the day‑to‑day coordination, supervision and quality control of field crews (including contractors) performing maintenance and repair works on the water distribution network. The role ensures that all work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance KPI requirements and client/stakeholder standards
Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Coburg, VIC
Reporting Line: Senior Supervisor (Water) / Senior Supervisor (Sewer)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-field audits in accordance with divisional expectations for the position
- Coordinate and assist in the training of all staff and sub- contractors per training matrix
- Support Senior Supervisor in maintaining compliance with training matrix
- Liaise with and make all arrangements with Public Authorities for provision of services to the network and working in public areas
- Support Senior Supervisor and WHS representatives in incident / ICAM investigations ensuring implementation of corrective actions by agreed timeframes
- Set and manage performance, safety and conduct expectations
- Maintain active field presence to provide in-field technical guidance, troubleshoot field issues and ensure workmanship meets required safety, quality and compliance standards
- Coordinate resources, materials, equipment, photographic evidence and relevant data capture to facilitate a valid claim and any follow-up tasks required to deliver maintenance tasks on time and within scope
- Ensure field crews adhere with all required pre-start activities (360 vehicle/work site), permits & safety requirements
- Engaging with relevant third party authorities for permits to work & access arrangements for their assets
- Review and approve timesheets to ensure accurate capture of applicable hours against work orders, indirects, allowances
About You
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Previous water industry experience (desirable)
- Previous experience managing operational performance & targets
- Flexible approach and well developed contract management skills
- Strong client focus and ability to negotiate with the client
- Successful applicants must obtain and maintain a satisfactory critical infrastructure background check in accordance with AusCheck requirements (mandatory)
