The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the delivery of ITS and electrical projects by assisting the Senior Project Engineer and project team in engineering, design, and construction coordination. This role ensures technical solutions are implemented effectively, project documentation is maintained, and work aligns with design specifications and project objectives.
Working from our Rockdale office, this permanent full-time role will be required to work night shift (Sunday-Thursday 9pm-5am) once project work begins late 2026.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Project Engineer in planning and coordinating engineering and construction activities
- Assist with review and management of design documentation, drawings, and specifications
- Provide on-site engineering support under guidance from the SPE
- Respond to RFIs, technical queries, and design clarifications
- Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and design teams to ensure constructability and compliance
- Maintain project documentation including reports, registers, and as-built records
- Monitor site progress, quality, and compliance, reporting issues to the SPE
- Assist with testing, commissioning, and handover of ITS and electrical systems
- Contribute to risk identification, mitigation strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support procurement processes by reviewing technical submissions or assisting with supplier queries
About You:
- Experience in a Project Engineer or similar role within electrical, ITS, or infrastructure projects
- Exposure to ITS systems (e.g., traffic signals, CCTV, VMS, communications) or electrical infrastructure
- Experience working on transport, road, or infrastructure projects (desirable)
- Ability to coordinate technical and construction teams effectively
- Some experience in site-based project delivery or construction support
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, or related discipline)
- Construction Industry White Card (mandatory in Australia)
- Current driver’s licence
