Melbourne, VIC
Full Time

Primary Location

VIC - Melbourne - 655 Collins St

Job Description Summary

As Technical Lead – Integration at ServiceStream, you’ll guide the evolution of our national field service integration ecosystem—turning complex requirements into clear, scalable architecture. You’ll set the technical benchmark for integration standards, patterns and best practice, with end to end ownership of technical design. If you enjoy solving challenging integration problems, uplifting process and architecture maturity, and building systems that are reliable by design, you’ll make a meaningful impact here.

We’re a fast paced, friendly team that values ownership, momentum and thoughtful collaboration—so you’ll have the space to lead, the support to deliver, and the trust to make good decisions.

This is a permanent, full time role based in our Melbourne office, with flexible hybrid working to suit real life. Please note: this opportunity is available exclusively to Australian Citizens.

About the Role

About the Role (a.k.a. what you’ll actually do)

  • Own and lead the integration architecture for ServiceNow FSM and its upstream/downstream friends
  • Design, document, build and govern integration standards, patterns, and data flows (the kind that don’t need a detective to interpret)
  • Coordinate and oversee integration delivery across projects and BAU—keeping work moving and quality high
  • Be the escalation point for integration incidents, defects, and data issues when things get spicy
  • Partner with Functional and Technical Leads to align technical designs with real business outcomes
  • Manage and collaborate with vendors and internal teams delivering integration work—clear expectations, clean handovers
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise/technical architecture, security, and data governance policies (so we stay fast and safe)
  • Oversee integration testing including DEV, SIT, UAT support, and regression cycles—because “tested in prod” isn’t a strategy
  • Maintain interface registers, runbooks, and technical documentation that people can actually use
  • Spot opportunities to simplify integrations, reduce technical debt, and improve reliability (future-you will thank you)
  • Support smooth handover from projects to BAU with strong documentation and knowledge transfer
  • Roll your sleeves up to build, fix and improve existing and new integrations and data flows
  • Move confidently between project delivery and BAU IT Operations—driving excellence, unblocking teams, and being the trusted escalation point

Skills and Experience (what you’ll bring)

  • Must be an Australian Citizen
  • 10+ years’ experience in systems integration and middleware (you’ve seen some things)
  • Strong experience integrating ServiceNow FSM with other applications
  • Hands‑on experience with Boomi, ESB and SAP CPI
  • Proven background designing and supporting APIs, event‑based, batch, and file‑based integrations
  • Experience managing integrations across multi‑vendor ecosystems (diplomacy counts)
  • Strong problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills—you can translate between “business” and “tech” fluently
  • Experience in Defence, Telco, Transport, or Utilities is highly regarded

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Certifications in Agile, project management, or relevant technical domains highly regarded
