About the Opportunity
Service Stream’s Energy division are currently seeking an Outage Superintendent – Night Shift to join our growing company. Based in the Darling Downs region, this site-based position will be required for the duration of the outage, commencing late August through to mid-November.
Nature of position: Casual
Location: Darling Downs
Reporting Line: Outage Manager
Key Responsibilities
In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for the execution and control of the planned outage activities for night shift. You will ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual, quality, and commercial requirements.
- Provide visible safety leadership aligned with Service Stream and our client expectations
- Lead and manage scheduled outage activities
- Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, QA / QC, and safe work procedures
- Oversee planning, scheduling, labour management and resource optimisation
- Manage variations, TQs and EOTs
- Coordinate subcontractors and internal teams to achieve milestones
- Review contractor claims and support cost control activities
- Mentor Supervisors and support team development
About You
To be successful in this role, you are an experienced Superintendent with a genuine concern for safety.
We are seeking an individual with demonstrated knowledge and experience with outage / turnaround or shutdowns preferably in a coal fired power station.
You will also demonstrate and possess the following:
- Formal qualifications or relevant trade background
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in heavy industry
- Minimum 4 years in a Superintendent, Supervisor or Management role
- Experienced in leading multi-disciplined teams
