About the Opportunity
Service Stream’s Energy division are currently seeking a Cost and Project Controller to join our growing company. Based in the Darling Downs region, this position will be required for the duration of the outage, commencing mid-July until project close out expected to be late November. This position is a site-based role.

Reporting Line: Project Controls Lead
Key Responsibilities
This role ensures accurate forecasting, cost tracking, and compliance with all financial and project control requirements while working closely with multi-disciplined teams.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost breakdown structures
- Monitor actual costs versus forecasts and report variances
- Prepare cost reports and performance metrics and report at agreed frequency
- Support change management processes and assess cost impacts of scope changes
- Collaborate with planning and scheduling teams to align cost and schedule baseline
About You
To be successful in this role, you are an experienced Cost and Project Controller with a genuine concern for safety.
We are seeking an individual with demonstrated knowledge and experience with outage / turnaround or shutdown preferably in a coal fired power station.
You will also demonstrate and possess the following:
- 3 years’ exposure to cost or project control with heavy industry experience desirable
- Understanding of financial and project management principles and techniques
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in cost control tools and ERP systems (SAP desirable)
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
