Job Description Summary

As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you will play a key role within Service Stream’s Transaction Services team, supporting the effective management of receipting, collections, treasury activities, and customer accounts. Reporting to the AR Team Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high quality service delivery across the full Accounts Receivable function.

This is a 12 month fixed term, full time position based at our Melbourne office, with the potential for permanency following the initial contract term.

About the Role

• Perform day‑to‑day management of AR collection and receipting activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Keep track, reconcile, and process customer payments in line with financial policies and procedures.
• Liaise with internal and external customers to resolve queries and maintain strong working relationships.
• Tabulate data and compile regular AR and treasury reports for key stakeholders.
• Monitor the effectiveness of AR processes and recommend improvements where required.
• Support treasury activities including receipting and handling customer funds.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in all AR activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Transaction Services team.

Skills and experience

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience as an Accounts Receivable Officer (essential).
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
• Strong problem‑solving capability and the ability to work independently when required.
• Experience using SAP AR modules and workflows (highly regarded).
• Industry experience in telecommunications, utilities, or transport (desirable).

• Additional finance or accounting training highly regarded.
