Job Description Summary

Service Stream’s corporate division is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join our Accounts Payable team.

Reporting directly to the Accounts Payable Team Lead, you will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, and payments. Service Stream values the relationships we hold with our partner suppliers and subcontractors. This role forms a key part in ensuring that we continue to meet our supplier commitments through maintaining relationships directly with suppliers, our internal business teams and through adhering to corporate policies and procedures.

This position is a full time, 12 month fixed term contract based at our Collins Street office, with hybrid working arrangements available. Australian citizenship is preferred for this role.

About the Role

  • To verify and process invoices accurately and ensure appropriate authorisation
  • Matching of invoices with Purchase Orders, receipts and supplier records.
  • To review and reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Respond to internal and external queries regarding payments and invoices
  • Ensure compliance with relevant internal policies and procedures.
  • To undertake and participate in cross-skilling opportunities across the Transaction Services team.
  • Maintaining the quality of the financial information reported internally and externally
  • Data integrity – ensuring third party invoices meet contractual obligations.
  • Managing internal and external stakeholder expectations

Skills and competencies Experience

  • 2+ years’ experience as an AP Officer is essential
  • Experience with SAP accounts payable module and workflows is highly regarded
  • Experience within telecommunications, utilities, transport and defence industries is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Problem solving skills
