With a strong pipeline ahead, we’re looking for an experienced Bid Manager who thrives on clarity, quality and driving submissions that stand out.

The Opportunity

This role is perfect for someone who knows bidding inside out and loves the craft. You’ll lead the management, coordination and full life cycle of end‑to‑end bids bringing structure, quality, and momentum to every submission.

You won’t just manage bids you’ll influence strategy, elevate storytelling, and play a key role in securing major Utilities contracts.

Nature of position:       Permanent, Full-Time 

Location:                            Fortitude Valley, QLD or Melbourne  VIC 

Reporting Line:               Head of Pre-Contracts 

What You’ll Do

• Lead the full bid lifecycle—from early strategy through to pricing, governance, submission, and handover
• Shape winning themes, value propositions and delivery methodologies for complex tenders
• Run efficient, well-structured bid processes across multiple simultaneous pursuits
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Commercial, Estimating, Finance, Legal and SMEs
• Build strong relationships across the organisation to capture insights and strengthen our competitive positioning
• Produce high‑quality, client‑focused responses that clearly communicate our strengths
• Guide the team through review cycles, risk discussions, and governance approvals
• Support handover to delivery teams and drive lessons-learned improvements

What You’ll Bring

• At least 5 years’ experience in end‑to‑end bid or proposal management (Utilities, Infrastructure, Engineering, Construction or related service industries preferred but not mandatory)
• Deep understanding of tendering processes, commercial models, risk, and submission governance
• Strong writing, editing and communication skills with a sharp eye for detail
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders
• Excellent organisational skills; calm, structured, deadline‑driven
• Understanding of tendering processes, compliance requirements and governance expectations
• Organised, calm under pressure, collaborative, and driven to win
• Ability to produce high-quality submissions in a fast‑paced environment
