We have an opportunity available for a talented individual to join us as an Electrical Technician. You will be responsible for completing maintenance of electrical and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) assets including lighting, switchboards, VMS and power distribution systems. The successful candidate will also ensure electrical safety and asset reliability through planned maintenance and defect rectification.

Key Responsibilities:
- Complete as directed, preventive and corrective maintenance for roadway lighting, ITS and associated electrical systems.
- Complete inspection, testing, commissioning and re-energisation of electrical installations in accordance with relevant standards.
- Maintain an accurate register of electrical assets, test results and inspection records.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with AS/NZS 3000, ServiceStream electrical safety procedures and WHS requirements.
- Fault response and emergency repairs in collaboration with NIOC, Delivery and external parties.
- Lock-out tag-out processes and issue electrical permits to work, verifying controls in the field.
- Work with electricians and electrical subcontractors, ensuring work quality and adherence to specifications.
- Asist in inventory of electrical spare parts and consumables, supporting reliability and response times.
- Ensure asset data for electrical and ITS assets is kept up to date within the AMS.
- Provide technical input to incident investigations and reliability improvements relating to electrical systems.
- Work a shift roster between 6:00am to 6:00pm – Monday to Friday.
- Required to be on call for afterhours call-outs.
- Required to complete Night Shift work for approximately 6-8 weeks a year.
About You:
- Experience in lighting and ITS maintenance for major road networks.
- NSW Electrical License and current CPR/LVR certification
- Understanding of AS/NZS 3000 and Safe Work Practices
Desirable, but not essential:
- Authorised traffic controller
- Communications cabling and fiibre accreditations
- High Risk Work licence (WP)
- Safe Working at Heights
- First Aid, CPR and LVR
- PLC and/or communications networking certificate
- EWP license
- MR truck licence
Westlink Services will provide:

- First Aid, CPR & LVR yearly (or as required)
