About the Role
ConnectSydney, a joint venture of ServiceStream, Boral, and Johnson Controls, in partnership with Transport for NSW, is entrusted with the management of the Harbour Zone. Our responsibilities encompass routine maintenance, strategic enhancements, and specialised projects aimed at bolstering Sydney's transport infrastructure.
The Training Systems & Compliance Officer is responsible for coordinating, delivering, and continuously improving learning initiatives that uplift capability across the ConnectSydney contract. The role ensures training is aligned with contractual, client, and organisational requirements, supports workforce readiness, and contributes to a positive and safe learning culture. A key focus of the role is maintaining accurate and compliant system‑based records, including Pegasus, and ensuring all workers remain competent and up to date with mandatory training.

Key Responsibilities:
Learning Program Coordination
- Maintain training calendars, schedules, enrolments, reminders, and attendance records.
- Support the design, updating, and continuous improvement of training content, learning materials, and resources.
- Coordinate blended learning delivery, including e‑learning, practical assessments, and classroom sessions.
Onboarding & Induction
- Ensure all new starters meet mandatory training requirements and competency checks before commencing field activities.
- Partner with hiring managers to ensure onboarding and system setup activities are completed on time.
Compliance & Record Management
- Maintain accurate, auditable training records across all systems, including the LMS, Pegasus, and other contract‑specific platforms.
- Monitor training expiry dates and proactively manage notifications, escalations, and follow‑up to ensure workforce compliance.
- Administer Pegasus profiles, competencies, and role validations to ensure all worker access requirements remain current.
- Support internal and external audits and client reviews regarding training obligations and system accuracy.
Systems & Process Administration
- Act as a system administrator or super‑user for learning platforms, including Pegasus.
- Troubleshoot system issues, support end‑users, and coordinate with IT or vendors where required.
- Maintain data integrity ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timely updates.
Stakeholder Support
- Work closely with operational leaders, supervisors, and SMEs to identify capability needs and ensure training alignment.
- Coordinate external providers, facilitators, and RTOs where required.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify skills gaps and opportunities to improve learning effectiveness and operational capability.
- Support the rollout of new systems, tools, or learning platforms, including change management and user training.
- Assist with evaluating training effectiveness and producing insights and recommendations.
About You:
- Experience in Learning & Development, training coordination, compliance administration, or a similar role.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confident communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working in operational, field‑based, or client‑facing environments (desirable).
- Familiarity with LMS platforms, training recordkeeping, and workforce compliance systems (Pegasus experience highly regarded).
- Ability to manage data integrity, system processes, and expiry‑based compliance requirements.
- Qualifications in HR, Education, Business, Safety, or a related field is desirable.
