About the Role
Love working outdoors and being part of your local community? We’re on the lookout for a Meter Reader to join our Sunshine Coast Team ! In this role, you’ll enjoy flexible outdoor work—walking and driving through your allocated neighbourhoods while recording utility meter readings.
Hours: 7am–3pm or 8am–4pm, Monday to Friday
Location: Northlakes to Sunshine Coast
No experience? No worries—we’ll provide full training to set you up for success. All you need is a positive attitude, a good level of fitness as you’ll be out and about — walking, driving, and exploring your allocated neighbourhood — reading and recording electricity meters.

What You’ll Need
- Current valid driver’s licence
- White Card or willingness to obtain one (we’ll guide you through the process)
- Willingness to learn and work independently
- Comfortable with walking, bending, and squatting – in all weather conditions
- Ability to travel up to 45 minutes one-way on occasion, depending on route requirements
- Positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a solid work ethic
- Reside between Northlakes and Sunshine Coast or surrounding areas (we’re happy to chat if you’re the right candidate from a bit further out!)
- Local knowledge of the area is a bonus – knowing streets, shortcuts, and neighbourhoods will make your day easier
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately read allocated meter routes in a timely, efficient, and safe manner
- Uphold Service Stream safety standards and professionally represent our company and clients
- Meet performance targets and KPIs
- Work independently while collaborating with team members when required
- Communicate regularly with the office support team and your Supervisor
- Upload and download route information using a handheld device
- Read monthly and quarterly electric meter boxes
- Perform accurate data entry with strong proficiency in mobile phones and handheld devices
- Maintain high attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Deliver a high level of customer service
