Job Description Summary
You will play a key role in analysing workforce data, forecasting resource needs, and optimizing resource allocation to ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time. This permanent full-time role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work on a national scale, supporting critical projects across our business units.
This is a permanent, hybrid position based at our Collins Street office in Melbourne, available exclusively to Australian citizens.
About the Role
As a Workforce Utilization & Planning Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering actionable insights and strategic recommendations that improve project delivery and operational efficiency. Reporting to the Testing & Operational Services Manager, you will collaborate with project managers, delivery leads, and senior leadership to ensure optimal workforce planning.
You will be responsible for:
Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting workforce data, including utilization rates and skill sets.
Developing dashboards and reports to provide clear visibility of resource availability and capacity.
Forecasting future resource demands based on project pipelines and business goals.
Modeling resourcing scenarios to assess impacts on timelines and budgets.
Identifying process improvements and collaborating with HR and IT to enhance data accuracy.
Acting as a key point of contact for resource-related inquiries and presenting insights to leadership.
About you
Our ideal candidate is a data-driven professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for optimizing workforce efficiency. You will also have:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Finance, or related field.
Must hold Australian citizenship.
3–5 years’ experience in data analysis, resource management, or workforce planning.
Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Confluence) and advanced Excel skills.
Experience with resource management or project portfolio tools (Planview, Jira, Tempo, Azure DevOps).
Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
