Job Description Summary

As a Trainer and Assessor, you will play a vital role in delivering nationally recognised training across high-risk, electrical, first aid, WHS, and utility sectors. This casual or contractor-based position is ideal for experienced trainers with current vocational competencies who are passionate about safety, compliance, and practical learning outcomes.

You’ll be part of a dynamic team delivering training across NSW, VIC, QLD, and SA, with flexibility to travel and deliver onsite.

Please note this is a casual or ABN-based contractor engagement.

About the Role

• Deliver and assess accredited units across First Aid, WHS, Traffic Control, Electrical Safety, and Utility sectors.
• Facilitate practical training using appropriate equipment and resources.
• Maintain accurate training records, assessments, and reports.
• Ensure training delivery aligns with ASQA standards, RTO policies, and licensing requirements.
• Support Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and gap assessments.
• Engage professionally with clients and participants to ensure a positive learning experience.
• Travel interstate as required, with allowances provided where applicable.
• Deliver training aligned with the Victorian Electrical Supply Industry (VESI) framework where applicable.

Skills and experience

• TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or TAE40110 with upgrades).
• Vocational competencies and industry experience in one or more of the following areas:
–First Aid (HLTAID009–011)
– WHS & Traffic Control (e.g., RIIWHS204E, MSMWHS217)
– Electrical Safety & Rescue (e.g., UETDRMP003–013)
– Asset Inspection (e.g., UETDRAI001–005)
• Electrical industry experience and/or relevant licensing.
• Ability to travel and deliver training across multiple states.
• Valid Driver’s Licence and access to transport.
• High-risk work licence (desirable).
• Experience delivering training for clients and familiarity with blended or e-learning delivery (desirable).
