About the Role
This hands-on, leading by example position will see you take an active role in the maintenance of wastewater assets in order to deliver the highest level of OHS outcomes, service delivery efficiencies, asset reliability and customer service for our client, Sydney Water
Key responsibilities
- Provide supportive and strong people leadership, including supervision, technical guidance, and training.
- Actively lead and participate in all site OH&S activities and initiatives, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Maintain a high level of field presence, conducting regular field audits.
- Direct activities for the efficient and effective provision of planned and reactive maintenance, as well as project work.
- Manage people-related tasks, including e-timesheet approvals, performance reviews, development, and performance management.
- Contribute to the overall contract operational service delivery to ensure business plan objectives and corporate strategies are met.
- Support field teams to foster a positive customer experience and an outcome-driven culture, enhancing their skills and capabilities through mentoring and development.
Experience required
- Extensive experience in the construction and maintenance environment (sewer reticulation assets)
- Demonstrated track record in a high-performance team environment, including developing a “can do” culture within the team to provide effective and efficient service delivery
- First-rate organisational and time management skills and stakeholder/customer engagement
- Experience to plan and execute projects within budget and in line with customer requirements
- Demonstrate your knowledge and commitment to Quality Management principles, OH&S and the Environment
