Job Description Summary

Service Stream’s Power division is currently seeking Glove and Barrier Linespersons to join our growing company. You will be responsible for construction and maintenance of electricity distribution networks through the safe & effective operation of associated plant and equipment.

About the Role

As a Glove and Barrier Lineworker you will be joining an excellent team that is responsible for constructing and maintain the transmission and /or distribution electricity network to maintain the integrity of the network in a safe, reliable, and affordable manner to ensure an uninterrupted supply to customers across the AusNet / United Energy / Jemena / CitiPower / Powercor networks.

Nature of position:              Permanent, Full Time

Location:                               Ferntree Gully depot

Reporting Line:                    Supervisor

About You

To be considered for the Glove and Barrier role, you must demonstrate previous experience working within this capacity, along with relevant training and HV licences. You will be a Victorian trade qualified Lineworker, holding a Certificate III in Distribution (Powerline). Day to day, you will be involved in the installation and maintenance of overhead powerlines carrying electricity to domestic, commercial and industrial users.

You will also demonstrate and possess the following:

  • Strong understanding and appreciation of Health and Safety practices.
  • Ability to meet individual project productivity & target costs.
  • Hold a current licence to perform High Risk Work, Construction White / Blue Card.
  • Share our commitment to the highest quality of workmanship.
  • Desirable – Forklift licence, Chainsaw Ticket, Dogging ticket/s.
